The Romeoville Humane Society is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter committed to creating the awareness of animal rights throughout the Romeoville community by providing numerous animal welfare programs, including pet adoptions, humane education and cruelty investigations.

How long have you been in business?
Romeoville Humane Society was founded in 2009 as a non-profit local charity with 501c3 tax-exempt status.
What is your primary product or service?
Rescued Dogs and Cats.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently we operate only out of foster homes, but we are working towards having our own facility so we can help save the lives of more animals.

All of our available animals are listed on our website. Please see our website or Facebook page for details about which events we will be attending and where we will be showing our animals. Currently you can meet a few of our cats at the Petsmart in Joliet across from Louis Joliet mall and at Petco in Romeoville.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Check and all major Debit and Charge Cards.
Which areas do you service?
Southwest Suburbs, primarily the Romeoville/Joliet areas, but we have adopted out a few of our animals as far away as Wisconsin and Indiana.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Romeoville Humane Society was founded as a non-profit local charity with 501c3 tax-exempt status and is run completely by volunteers, all money raised goes towards helping and animals, none of our volunteers receive any compensation besides the love and gratitude of the animals we help find fur-ever homes.
What are your hours of operation?
Since we do not have a building and depend on a staff of volunteers we technically run 24 hours a day as some volunteers help in the morning some in the evening and even a few help overnight.
